Ignacio Hernández founded Hernández Strategy Group in 2003 after having served as a Chief of Staff in both the California State Assembly and the California State Senate. As an attorney Ignacio represented clients in employment discrimination, wage theft and criminal cases. He has successfully navigated a litany of proposals through the legislative process and has worked to stop hundreds of bills adverse to his clients’ interests. Before beginning his career at the State Capitol, Ignacio taught in the Political Science Department at San Jose State University. Currently he sits on the Public Interest Law Board of Santa Clara University School of Law
Christiane Gillespie graduated with honors from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, General Management and Entrepreneurship. Her prior experience has helped her to excel in client services, office management and business consulting. Christiane has had a growing interest in local government and state politics.
Bianca Angulo is a Legislative Assistant and has been an essential part of the HSG team. She graduated from California State University, Sacramento in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in history and a minor in government. She earned her J.D. from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2016 with a certificate in Capital Lawyering. She has previously worked for a local Tribe in their legal department.
Daniel Gutierrez is a Legislative Assistant and has been with the HSG team since January 2019 as he had previously served as Assistant Legislative Secretary under Governor Brown. Through his prior experience, he gained an understanding of the legislative process and the inter-workings of the State bureaucracy. Daniel graduated from the University of California, Davis in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in American history.
